Once again the athletes of the X Games set the bar for the rest of the world to follow in action sports. With the first-ever X Games BMX Street comp, new innovations on the Skate vert and the introduction of the MX ladies, the X Games 14 served up even more than its usual excitement!
New events included the exciting "Moto X Speed & Style" which proved to be a great mix for gold and silver riders, Kevin Johnson and Ronnie Renner. The Moto X Step-Up had Ricky Carmichael join the ranks for his first time in the event and take a gold for himself, while riders like Todd Potter collected multiple medals.
Closing out the LA Games, the Rally Car saw BMX's Dave Mirra make it to the semi-finals, Travis Pastrana take the top spot, and a heartelf tribute to legendary driver, Colin McRae.
All in all, this year's X kept up with its own tradition and made new ones for us all to look forward to...Click Here for Coverage

X FEST, Milestone Ranch MX Park
Milestone Ranch was the host of this year's Podium Production's X Fest. On what the rider's said was a "great track", the event featured a day of Mini-4 Stroke racing, Freestyle flips and Trophykart racing. Going beyond the dirt track and catering to the whole family, the X Fest provided plenty of fun stuff set up for the kids, and live music and vendor shopping there for the adults.
True to the X Fest tradition, there was a little bit of everything!
The
ITP Quadcross closed out with a final round of double points at Glen
Helen, that included some great riding, great finishes, and some great
returns for a few of the riders that've been out with some injuries.
Thanks to the stronger-than-usual rains that opened the weekend, the
track conditions started out with thick muds, which made for more
head-to-head riding, bigger roosts, and built up corners.
Riders
were loving the opening motos, and battling a tough track as the day
went on. Glen Helen known for its steep inclines and long track, set
the tone for once again another exciting series closer! Congratulations to all the top racers and see you at
the next race.
As the M4SX series moves closer to its final round and $10,000 purse, the drivers are holding tight to their positions. Putting a few spins on the action, the Side X Side and Trophykart drivers kept up the excitement and anticipation for the final. Click Here to View Full Coverage

To
say the least, the Searchlight Grand Prix is a one-of-a-kind event! As
for the course, well at the Searchlight you’re in for a lot of firsts.
Hopping on the Rhino for the grand tour, WCP journalist Nina Couturiaux
had to fasten her seatbelt as Searchlight’s Mitch Canepa lead the way
through the yards, streets and narrow dirt pathways. Showing off the
features that have made the Searchlight the #1 MRAN desert race, you
can't help but have a good time. Mitch and his crew run the course
right up next to neighbor’s sheds, between their bushes and even
through their garage and carport!
There were ATVs, bikes & even SideXSides in Primm, Nevada competing on the concrete & dirt! After intense rains that flooded the track with a foot of water, the staff successfully pulled it together to launch an exciting weekend of competition, bands & freestyle!
Thanks to the 4-wheel stunts of the Bomb Squad & FMXer Jimmy Fitzpatrick, the fans of Stateline got to see surprising simultaneous backflips as Fitzpatrick & his bike came off the ramp, pulled a back flip with Moore & his ATV immediately joining in!

Trans-Cal MX Nationals draws in racers from several different states.
They say they come for the contingencies and how good the competition
is. And it showed. Out on the track it was all business with some
aggressive and fast riding going on across all the classes!
During our interview with
CMC founder Stu, there was an endless stream of riders coming up to say
"Hello" and give updates on how their bikes were running. For Stu, it's
a great feeling to see generations of families come through sign- ups
year after year.

Where else can you find mind-blowing tricks and high-speed action put out by the best riders from around the world? Once again, the X Games brought some great moments in sports history. Along with the achievements, it also showed us some of the worst crashes ever.
To anyone who saw X, it's probably no surprise that Adam Jones made the WCP opening shot. When we interviewed him at X Games 12, he was excited about his then silver, but knew he'd be back for the #1 spot. Well, he proved his worthiness big time with this original move!
This year marked a first-time also for a new format of racing in the Moto-X Event. The line-up was a great mix of Supercrossers and Motocrossers. The track was a bit tight and slippy, but they made the best of it and didn't hold back.
What do you get when you combine the oldest track in California with two of the best of Supercross? Add to that the high regard they have for kids and a dedication to teaching. Well...at Perris Raceway there's great racing and great classes.
